April McLane was born and raised in a small town in the Houston area. April grew up competing in an equestrian sport, Cowboy Mounted Shooting. Horseback riding continues to be a passion in her life. When she’s not in school or working, four-wheeling and taking it easy in the mountains is also one of her favorite pastimes.

Since then, interning in D.C. at Youth Service America sparked her interest in nonprofit work. Continuing her studies, April aspires to strengthen her skills and hopes to contribute to the nonprofit sector. Aside from work and academics, serving and loving life remains a priority.
