April McLane was born and raised in a small town in the Houston area. April grew up competing in an equestrian sport, Cowboy Mounted Shooting. Horseback riding continues to be a passion in her life. When she’s not in school or working, four-wheeling and taking it easy in the mountains is also one of her favorite pastimes.
One thing April lives by is thinking outside of the box and creatively solving problems. Throughout her college years at BYU, she discovered that public relations was the best fit for those goals. Since then, interning in D.C. at Youth Service America sparked her interest in nonprofit work. Continuing her studies, April aspires to strengthen her skills and hopes to contribute to the nonprofit sector. Aside from work and academics, serving and loving life remains a priority.
